Jekyll Puppet: Head & Hat!

He’s got a face! Plus a vintage 40s fedora hat (a must-have accessory for any respectable film noir cliché). I used Van Aken plasticine for the head and hair, painted beads for the eyes, and super sculpey (baked) for the eyelids. The hat is made from the same fabric as the pants, and the hatband is from the same fabric as his tie. Co-ordinated fella, isn’t he?

The face still needs smoothing, which I’ll take care of at the finishing stage.

C&C welcome!

Sunny, I really loved seeing the face. Love the clich’e hat like you pointed out. I was wondering is there a reason he has an expression on his face already? Wouldn’t a more generic expression work better?

Thanks for the comment! I gave him an expression thinking this would be the default mood for this character. Plus, I’m not really planning to animate his mouth in the near future, so I don’t mind keeping a fixed expression. The eyes and eyelids are ready to animate, though.
