So.. once you’ve made your el cheapo capture stand, how about some el cheapo frame capture software to go with it? Well, I’ll do better than that: How about some FREE frame capture software?

Enter MonkeyJam*. It can capture frames from your webcam or camcorder, has nifty features like an X-sheet, frame averaging, sound import (WAV & MP3) and more.

If you have a budget and want to get something with even more features, here are some good ones:

• Digicel Flipbook (PC & Mac)
• FrameThief (Mac only)
• Stop Motion Pro (PC only)

*I just heard about this nifty little program today, thanks to Keith Lango. I signed up for his Animation: Personal Trainer program, and am really looking forward to some new learning and exercises, not to mention feedback from someone who knows (a lot) more than me!
