Spanky cleanup
Woohoo! It’s been an intense but amazing four weeks of animating, in Keith’s APT program. I needed someone to push me and guide me, give me honest, expert feedback. And I got that and more. The man is an Animation Buddha!
Here’s the “Spanky” scene, all cleaned up. Like any shot, it’s never really done, I’m just calling it done at this point. Comments most welcome!
UPDATE (9.18.08): Replaced the playblast with the final render.

Frank here. Animation student from Australia via the 11 Second Club where I saw the “Spanky” animation and had to know more. It’s sweeet work man!
Just had a group of animation students gathered around the monitor and a teacher analysing your arcs, blinkd, timing, spacing, poses, lip synch, facial animation.
You get an A+.

Glad to know you and your classmates enjoyed the scene (not to mention your teacher too).
Of course, I had great guidance from Keith on this shot, and learned a bunch about the finer points of animation.
I’m in the middle of cleaning up the scenes from my second session of the APT program, and will post them once I’m done. So check back in a week or two if you get a chance!
