Flour Sack Blocking #1
Here’s my Flipbook blocking for a flour sack exercise Keith assigned me for session 5 of the APT. The drawings (scribbles?) are really rough, but I’m hoping the action is clear enough.
C+C welcome!

Thanks, Mahesh!
The holds are long and drawn out just for cartoon exaggeration. I’m trying to push the timing to extremes, along with the poses.

That’s adorable, but I can’t tell what the sack of flour is trying so hard to reach!

Thanks for the comments!
Katie: The ball he’s trying to reach could be anything.. my assignment just said “something hanging”. I decided to make it go higher each time the flour sack jumps up, so it always stays out of reach. Like it happens in life, I guess
Mahesh: I did see the link to DJ’s blog that you posted. He’s got some good stuff! To answer your other question, I teach animation at a college in the Washington, DC area.
