Scifi: You Are What You Eat
A little over a year ago, the Scifi Channel commissioned our department (the animation department at the Art Institute of Washington) to produce a one minute short based around their “if” theme of promos. Here’s the result, created by a hand-picked group of students working in and outside of class. The preproduction was supervised by my colleague John Griffin, while I came up with the concept and supervised the CG production.

I have to say, I’m very proud of what the students accomplished! For all its flaws, the short shows a level of professionalism and quality that surpasses all our prior student work. What’s more, it’s great for their demo reels, and it was a good learning experience for me as supervisor.
Kudos to everyone who worked on it!

Very nice! I never thought I’d get to see the finished piece! Will it be in visually wired?

Thanks, Felicia! It’s been entered into Visually Wired. We’ll be announcing the results of the judging soon.

Hi Kharabanda,
Sorry to be off-topic but if you think it is ‘worthy’ could you post a link to my free forum dedicated to the classic Disney films and the Nine Old Men?
Hans Perk and michael barrier have links on their pages already.

Everyone is welcome of course.
Thanks,
