I’m sure he’s a really cool guy.
Why am I drawn to people so lost in their thoughts? It’s definitely a pattern: See this, this, this and this.
This being the DC area, it’s common to find one of them on the train. Not all of them have such interesting faces, though.
Sleeping passengers on the train make great sketch subjects.
I couldn’t help but draw him, though it almost felt like I was intruding.
Drew this one at a meeting a while back. His face isn’t as angular and stern as this sketch, but maybe it was my frame of mind at the time. Did I mention I drew it at a meeting? ‘Nuff said.
Saw this man completely engrossed in a book, at the same Barnes & Noble store where I drew the backpack lady.
This woman was browsing the aisles at Barnes and Noble, wearing a tightly stuffed backpack.
It’s not every day I see someone reading on the train wearing dark glasses.
Need I say more?
This guy seemed to be enjoying his pre-dinner conversation with friends outside a nearby Lebanese Taverna. His sharp features and rather over-sized jacket (It was Spring when I sketched this) caught my eye.
I know the proportions are a bit weird, but this guy had a really interesting face so I’m posting it anyway.
